Kevin David Mitnick is an American computer security consultant, author and hacker. Kevin Mitnick never liked to be called as hacker. He instead claims to be a social engineer. Kevin David Mitnick has broken into the systems of Nokia, Fujitsu and Motorola. At the time of his arrest, he was the most-wanted computer criminal in the United States. He was arrested in 1995 and served five years in jail. He is currently running his own computer security consultancy company named Mitnick Security Consulting.

2. Robert Tappan Morris
Robert Tappan Morris is an American computer scientist and entrepreneur. He is best known for creating the Morris Worm in 1988. Morris worm was of first in its kind and affected 6,000 major Unix machines, practically shutting them down and causing millions of dollars in damage. Morris was caught, fined, sentenced to a three-year probation, and ordered to conduct community service. Morris became the first person convicted under the new Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. The disk that he used to write the worm is now on display at the Boston Museum of Science. Morris himself is now a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Adrian Lamo first gained media attention for breaking into several high-profile computer networks. He was a mobile hacker, who launched his work from the confines of Internet cafes, libraries or coffee shops. His main intention was just fun and challenge. He regularly break into computer systems and then immediately tell the owner of the network about its vulnerability. He even made himself an expert by adding his name to the database of the New York Times. Manning was arrested and incarcerated in the U.S. military justice system and later sentenced to 35 years in confinement.He was also the one who turned in Bradley Manning, who had leaked government documents to Wikileaks.
